Heidi's Approach

Heidi’s approach is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed, rooted in a deep understanding of how stress, relationships, and life experiences shape the body, brain, and nervous system. She recognizes that many of the patterns we struggle with—whether in relationships, self-esteem, emotional regulation, or coping—are adaptive responses to past stressors.
Heidi creates a safe, supportive space where your experiences are honored and explored with curiosity and care. Heidi believes in the power of a trusting therapeutic relationship to support you in your journey towards healing and self-discovery.

Your sessions are personalized to meet your or your child's unique needs with evidence-based techniques to help you navigate through life's challenges.
Heidi has a wide variety of therapeutic approaches. A few of the many skills Heidi works on with individuals include coping skills, stress management, identifying root causes and contributing factors to behaviors, healthy communication, self-redirection,
and boundaries.
Heidi may use a variety of different techniques, visuals, worksheet or play therapy activities to help clients stay engaged, learn, and obtain information and tools from each psychotherapy session.
